the point where your highest aspirations intersect with your daily activities.
I work with organizations and individuals to help them become more purposeful and intentional. The result is stronger companies, more cohesive teams, and greater clarity, energy and joy in everyday life.
Consulting for companies
Companies that have a clear and defining purpose attract and retain higher-quality workers who are more productive and engaged. I work with organizations to help them better align their highest vales with their everyday activities.
I give keynote addresses and lead workshops and seminars for groups of any size, but my favorite teaching method is working with small groups of leaders. Some sample workshop topics include "Leading with Your Heart in Business" and "How to Avoid Burnout in Startups."
My coaching practice is all about helping you connect to your highest purpose, leading to more energy, enthusiasm, passion and joy in your work and life. The material for coaching sessions is drawn from my book, Practice Makes PURPOSE: Six Spiritual Practices That Will Change Your Life and Transform Your Community.
I'm a social entrepreneur, award-winning author, teacher and coach. I've spent the past twenty years leading purpose-focused organizations. For more than a decade of my life, I served as a Greek Orthodox priest. Afterward, I ran social-purpose companies focusing on employment, housing, transportation, and the environment.
I know life can go sideways sometimes. At age 40, I got divorced, which ended my career as a priest. But I also know what it means to reinvent. The worst things that happen in life can sometimes also be the best things. Every experience is a gift from the universe, given for one reason: to be shared.
I'm a martial artist. I've studied taekwondo for over twelve years, and hold a second-degree black belt. Martial arts has taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of daily practice.

"I was inspired and drawn to Paul's work by the elegant simplicity of the Six Practices. Paul consulted with our mission services team to develop content for our annual Leadership in Ministry retreats. We distributed his book to our leaders during the retreat. Putting the six practices into people's hands gave the opportunity to apply them in everyday life The results…very successful retreats!"
--Dianna Keilian, Sr. Vice President of Mission, PeaceHealth, Vancouver, Washington
"I've known Paul for a number of years, and when we needed a keynote speaker to help celebrate a major milestone I knew just who to call. Paul came out and led a workshop with staff that opened up some important conversations. His keynote address for our anniversary celebration knocked it out of the park. His vision and inspiration were exactly what we needed."
--Dave Shaffer, CEO, First Step Staffing, Atlanta, Georgia
"It was so powerful to work with Paul on the topic of tension in the workplace. It was rather coincidental that this would be the chapter that we would focus our time on, but it turned out to be the most relevant topic for our team. The session offered each of us some practical tools that we can take with us and use daily."
